Memories Charcoal House

Our lunch at the Memories Charcoal House was enjoyable especially given the excellent service we received. We ate in the dining room next to the larger bar area. The dining room's appearance would benefit from some updating. We had the Chicken Gyro with Fries ($15.90). The portion size was generous and Gyro was very good. We also had the Boom Boom Bowl ($18.90). It was good tasting; however, the portion size was underwhelming including the size of the shrimp.

For a dining room attached to a sports bar this place pleasantly surprised me. What I got was not what I expected. The taste of the food was only sent me higher than the howls of the Raven's fans next door. Whether you want something a little more chill, or want someplace to throw em back. You'll like ot here.

Food was great! The staff was very polite here. There is a bar and a dining area here to separate the crowds. I enjoyed it a lot!

Me and my family absolutely love Memories in every way. I highly recommend to everyone! In the summer the atmosphere is amazing, the food is fantastic and the prices are fair.

Local favorite, good beer selection and fantastic food. Lots of the meat is locally sourced from Wagners Meat Locker, and even the salads are fresh with delicious house-made dressings (pictured the salmon asparagus salad and spinach power salad). Favorites are the wings, steak and cheese, crab dip, burgers..ok apparently it's pretty hard to go wrong..

There's nothing quite like a well-made crabcake, and tonight's experience was a true delight. The star of the show was undoubtedly the crabcake itself, boasting an impressive abundance of jumbo lump crab meat. Each bite was a testament to its quality, with large, succulent pieces of crab taking center stage, bound just enough to hold their shape without being overwhelmed by filler. The flavor was pure, sweet crab, unadulterated by excessive seasoning, allowing the natural deliciousness of the meat to shine through. It was perfectly cooked, with a delicate crust that gave way to a moist and tender interior. Accompanying this stellar crabcake were some truly noteworthy sweet potato fries. These weren't your average, limp spuds; they were perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yielding to a soft and naturally sweet interior. They weren't greasy in the slightest, suggesting a masterful hand in the fryer. The sweetness of the fries provided a wonderful counterpoint to the savory richness of the crabcake, creating a balanced and thoroughly satisfying meal.

Awesome food!!! Very tasty. The crab dip w warmed pita was delicious. The Ruben was thick and so good. The chicken strips were big and crispy. Highly recommend!!!

We stopped in Memories Charcoal House for my sister in laws birthday dinner. This establishment is located in Mt. Airy in a shopping center with many stores and parking spaces around. The layout of this restaurant has a expansive bar area with many TVs and bartop seating, a dining area, and a large outdoor area that has string lights hanging overhead. The menu contains typical food that you would see at many pub style restaurants, but is unique as many of the meats come from Wagner's meat locker which is an excellent local butcher shop. I ordered the cheesesteak which contained Ribeye steak from Wagner's, however it did not meet my expectations and was just okay. The fried onions were still raw and the steak was sticking together making it difficult to eat. Everyone else in the party had good experiences with their orders which including the crab cake sandwich and rib dishes. Overall we had a good experience and if you are looking for a good local spot in Mount Airy for a dining/pub style experience, Memories Charcoal House is a good choice. Many people appeared to be enjoying watching the games and drinking in the bar area.
